City Of Thentis Rules
As with all worlds....there are rules....We,too, at Thentis, have rules....which all are expected to abide by and live by....the following are the rules followed within the walls of our city
1 - Visitors to the City need to disarm at the gate to show they have no hostile intentions. The fabled City of Thentis is guarded by a forty foot marbled Wall stretching completely around the City, there are Three City gates, two of which are locked and barred at night. Only the High Gate is open at night. The Gates are guarded by 200 Soldiers of the Red Caste, another 1000 upon a ehn's call...and 10,000 in less then the Ahn. Any who refuses to disarm at the gate will be treated with suspicion and not allowed to enter, and may only speak to the Gatekeepers
2 - kajirae will greet All Citizens (Free Peoples) within the City...Visitors and Strangers will not be greeted until They have been admitted into the City by a Citizen Member..."greetings all" is NOT acceptable and shows disrespect to the Nobles
3 - 1.All FW..will wear full veils and robes when outside the HALL and may wear vanity veils and house robes within it. It is expected , as a Gorean Free Women that she will give due repsect to Free Men within her city. If she has offened a member of the city, she can expect that she will be collared, as is the right of Men. FreeWomen that are of the Inner Circle are to be caged and then a trial by the Inner Circle will be set. 2.All New Free Women who join our city will be expected to petition the protection of the City and in doing so they Must go to any Member of the Inner Circle..and kneel as a FW ( thights together beneath their robes..with hands resting on their thighs, palms facing downards) asking for the favor of the City's protection. Thus receiving the protection from the cities Membership 3.When there are no slaves available to serve the Free Men..then it will be the responsiblity of the FW to offer service to the Men and serve with the dignity of there Status. 4.Female Warriors will NOT be allowed to become Members any longer unless they can prove they are essential
4 - If you enter the city....enter with a real name....those entering under anonymous...visitor or any variation thereof...and those entering with names composed of symbols make it harder on members of the city to greet and welcome them properly....plus the hospitality is that much warmer.
5 - No whispering or pm's without permission!
6 - All visitors are welcome to enter and watch....learn....if wishing to merely observe....place ~O~ at the end of your name....this will let all of the city know you are just observing....If a FreePerson...You may ask questions of the other Free's within the city while observing, If kajirae...you are to observe ONLY and if you wish to ask a question will beg permission to do so and wait until answered..you will NOT serve food, drink, dance or lap while in Thentis..
7- Membership. City Membership is split into Five Distinct levels. Each level will be made up of a Coucil of Citizens. Which runs and see's to a specific part of City duty. The First is the Apprentice Council. This is the Probationary Council all new members will belong to for 15 days when first joining. It gives You time to get familiar with Thentis..it's rules and People. The Second Council is the District Council. The third Council is the Obsidian Council...It's main purpose is to build up the Caste Guilds that make up the City. Bettering your own Caste is a good thing. Slaves are given on loan to Members of this level, they will wear the collars of both the Citizen and the City. If the Noble leaves the city or is gone for a long period of time without reason, the slave is returned to the City.
The Fourth Level is the Inner Council, The duties of the Inner Council is primarily dealing with City Concerns when none of the Inner Circle is about. Members of this Level may own slaves..they may also buy or be gifted with them by the Admin..they may bring in slaves from other realms but they MUST go through City training. Again if the Citizen leaves the City or disappears without notice, the slaves that were bought or gifted from the City will return to City. This councils membership is mostly Caste Leaders and Citizenswith recognised positions of responsibility.
The Inner Circle is the High Council. They are made up of Guild Leaders and the City Commanders. The High Council deals with the making of Law, and dealing with Policy. They are the only ones who may make decisions on City slaves and their distribution, though the Admin has final say. Basically anything that deals with the City as a whole is dealt with by the Inner Circle.
Each Council is able to vote in members to their Own level, thus the Guild Council can vote in members to their own level from visitors who wish to join the City..the Obsidian Council can decide who to raise to the Obsidian Council from the Guild Council and the Inner Circle may do the same. This gives each Level the ability to watch and see who is worthy to promote, though of course the Ubar has absolute choice.
8 - Visiting kajirae may NOT serve within the City except to her/his Master. However, kajira are welcome to visit and speak to kajirae friends within the City as long as they wear their collar and respect Thentis rules. NO visiting or observing kajira may serve..dance or lap with a Master or Mistress. If seen to do so it will be dealt with severely. ALL new kajira who wish to join Thentis are placed in a kettle collar for 3-7 days..where they may study and do chores ONLY. They are NOT to serve unless there are NO other City kajira in the room..then it is permissable and only then. Once out of kettle they are placed in either a City or Admin or another Free's collar...then they will be put through an advance level of City Training.
9 - No dual memberships will be allowed
10 - THIS CITY IS A CAPTURE/NO KILL ZONE..the only exception being a challange set forth to defend Ones Honor. Captures of uncollared slaves can ONLY be by City Members.
11 - Members will not accept services of Outside Healers. All City Trained slaves have some knowledge in healing cuts and wounds..POISON IS NOT ACCEPTED IN THIS CITY.. If there is a Friendly Healer or a Member Citizen who is a Healer then they may indeed help the wounded.
12 - There are three Citycollar..one,the kettle collar {T*}..designed for new slaves wishing to serve Thentis..worn for an evaluation period of one week.. the 'City of Thentis' a grey silk State Owned collar given to new slaves with little experience in Gor..and are taught the ways of Gor by the City Trainers..and the other, Admin is the collar given to experianced kajirae who will be used to serve the Citizens. The Admin colared slaves are not for sale..and will be gifted on rare occasion..so dont bother asking.
13 - The use of the 'Online' Gorean language is banned in Thentis. Only words appearing in the Scrolls apart from are acceptable.This applies to both Frees and slaves. We do not use the terms rask, fadu, chaq or pral.along with the countless other common phrases.If it is written in the Scrolls then it is acceptable.
14 - No dual personas or dual collars will be allowed
